Gustavo BECKER



 

 

Gustavo is a lawyer admitted to practice in Brazil and currently pursues a Master's Degree in Globalization and Law with a concentration in international human rights and corporate social responsibility at Maastricht University as a Holland-High Potential Scholar. Previously, he has temporarily worked as an assistant legal counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration, as a foreign practice paralegal at Skadden, Arps LLP, a deputy case manager at CAM-CCBC, and interned for the UNCITRAL Secretariat in Vienna. In terms of academic positions, Gustavo holds teaching experiences in Public and Private International Law at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), the same institution where he pursued his Research Master's (M.Sc.), which focused on International Commercial Law and Arbitration, and his Bachelor's Degree in Law. His academic publications are mostly related to international arbitration, business and human rights, as well as the CISG and its case law, including an analysis of the first application of the CISG by a Brazilian state court.
