High Court of Uganda renders decision applying the CISG

On 3 October 2017, the High Court of Uganda in Portland International (Pty) Ltd v. Sembule Steel Mills Ltd rendered one of the yet few decisions by an African court applying the CISG. The case arose out of a sale of steel products by a South African seller to a Ugandan buyer.
