Hong Kong government publishes results of consultation on CISG‘s future application to Hong Kong

As reported earlier, the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has conducted a public consultation on the "Proposed Application of The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region". Between 2 March and 30 September 2020, members of the public were invited to submit their views on the topic to the DoJ.

On 22 March 2021, the outcome of the consultation was presented to the Panel on Administration of Justice and Legal Services of the Hong Kong Legislative Council.

For this purpose, the Department of Justice prepared a paper summarizing the outcome of the public consultation. The paper also contains the full text of most responses to the consultation:
