As to the (disputed) CISG Contracting State status of the post-1997 Hong Kong SAR, the Court briefly held (in para. 11 of the decision): "The Peoples Republic of China ratified the CISG in 1986 and Hong Kong is a Contracting State under the CISG. See CNA International v. Guangdon Kelon Electronical Holdings, et al., No. 05 C 5734 (N.D.Ill. filed Sept. 3, 2008)."
